The Fighting Irish tells the story, in words and music, of the thousands of emigrant Irish who fought in American armies. From the mid 1900s to the end of the Great War, Irishmen played a key role in many of America’s most famous battles. No less than 200,000 Irishmen fought in the American Civil War, while 36 Irishmen died with Custer at the Battle of the Little Bighorn.
